An after school enrichment program for
children in the community in grades K-8
Growing up in today’s world is tough. Youth and children must be able to face this reality and live with
purpose, hope, faith and joy. We believe passionately that these qualities of life are uniquely found in a
relationship with Jesus Christ. Our LOGOS ministry exists to foster this relationship.
LOGOS meets on Wednesday afternoons during the school year and welcomes all children in the community
to participate in the program. Each week we pick a theme — based on a holiday, a country, a story, a sport,
or whatever our imaginations come up with — then we plan activities and Bible lessons to go with the
theme. The children rotate through 4 activity areas and then all come together for a family style meal.
BIBLE TIME: Experience the stories of faith through engaging activities. Discover how God is still working
in our lives today.
RECREATION TIME: Participate in family style games and active play that reinforce life skills and
consideration for others.
WORSHIP ARTS TIME: Explore the elements of Worship through a variety of activities and mediums,
including creative arts, crafts and drama.
MUSIC TIME: Express yourself through singing and musical instruments for fun and presentation to others.
FAMILY MEAL TIME: A dinner hour where “family groups,” composed of children and adults, sit at the table.
Adults serve as “table parents,” guiding children in ways to have a respectful family meal.
